Blue Balliett published her first book, The Ghosts of Nantucket, in 1984. Eight books later and firmly settled in as a Young Adult author, she published Out of the Wild Night in March of 2018. She wrote her best known work, Chasing Vermeer, while working as a teacher at The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. She now writes full time and splits her time between Chicago and Nantucket.
Meg Ruley grew up on Nantucket, graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in English Literature, and attended the Denver Publishing Institute. She has been with the Jane Rotrosen Agency for over 30 years and represents commercial fiction, with strong interest in suspense, mysteries, romance and general fiction. She splits her time between Nantucket and New York.
Nancy Thayer published her first novel, Stepping, in 1980. Her 30th novel, A Nantucket Wedding, came out in April of 2018. Thayer's work has been translated into many languages as well as excerpted in periodicals. She has a B.A. and M.A. in English literature from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She was a Fellow at the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference. She has lived on Nantucket year-round for 33 years.
