So You Want To Talk About Race: A Community Conversation

Please join us for a discussion of the breakout book So You Want to Talk About Race.  The book will help the community establish norms and shared language for these difficult conversations.  The goal is bring people from a variety of backgrounds together to start sharing experiences and listening to each other, to create a strong and effective community of allies to break down systems of injustice in our community.  This book group is a starting point.  We hope to gather input to decide on next steps which might include things like viewing documentaries, planning cultural celebrations, making new and diverse friends, setting up a drop in location for people to come have difficult conversations, inviting experts to the island to speak, having local experts lead conversations.  Nothing is off the table.
