Based in the 1890's. A gothic fictional book in relation to a man called Richard Smith. He falls deeply in love with a girl called Melanie. Melanie's father, Franklyn. Is deeply jealous of their love and casts a spell on Richard. Richard then meets another girlfriend, Louise, and has to put his past behind him. Which, for him, is easier said than done.
