About the Author
Matt Reinemo is a Nantucket native. He grew up fishing the ponds and beaches with his mother, and chasing bluefish with his father, becoming a total fishing nut by high school. He earned his captain's license when he turned eighteen and is now in his fourteenth season as a full-time captain and guide. Higher education led Matt south toward more fish (not coincidently) where he graduated from Drew University and the University of Miami School of Law. After a very short time in an office, the appeal of the ocean proved too great, and Matt returned to fishing. In the winter, he has scalloped, travelled, and run sportfishing boats in Costa Rica and Florida. His fishing column, "Recently Hooked," appeared in the Nantucket Independent. When Matt is not guiding clients, he enjoys cooking, reading, and racquet sports, but still prefers to be fishing. He lives on Nantucket with his wife, who is becoming a skilled angler out of necessity. He looks forward to fishing with his son, who is now one. This is Matt's first book.
