I, Wendy Hudson, owner of Bookworks and co-founder of Cisco Brewers, went to Smith College, so I'm extremely excited to host an event with J. Courtney Sullivan--fellow alum--for her new novel "Commencement", which follows four friends through their college experience at Smith and beyond.

This book will resonate with women of all ages, for though it's centered at a women's college the themes are universal. Bring your girlfriends, mothers & sisters out to the brewery for a good time... men are welcome as well of course, and may even learn a thing or two about the female psyche!

Purchase of the book includes a refreshment coupon.

"Lifeguard on Duty" is the ultimate Beach Book, with page after page of iconic images of everyone's favorite boys of summer.

Come on out to the brewery to hear the author talk about the fun he had taking these pictures! A perfect gift for your boyfriend or girlfriend.

This is a story we can't wait to hear more about! Join us as we welcome Frances Osborne at Bookworks from 4-6pm on Saturday.

"Idina Sackville dazzled men and women alike, and made a habit of marrying whenever she fell in love--five husbands in all and lovers without number. Hers was the age of bolters, and Idina was the most celebrated of them all. [...] Frances Osborne deftly tells the tale of her great-grandmother using Idina's never-before-seen letters; the diaries of Idina's first husband, Euan Wallace; and stories from family members. Osborne follows Idina from the champagne breakfasts and "the dansants" of lost-generation England to the foothills of Kenya's Aberdare moutnains and the wild abandon of her role in Kenya's disintegration postwar upper-class life. A parade of lovers, a murdered husband, chaos everywhere--as her madcap world of excess darkened and crumbled around her."
